March 27, 2010 — While Mr. Gibbs the executive director of URI United Religions Initiative was in a visit to Jordan, an activity was held in Sahab, for orphan kids to recieve lunch and entertainment segments. The video presents a part of the lunch event in which I have participated, played and sang with the super sweet kids of Sahab.

Quested Peace can be considered as a movement. It is the application of URI since 2000. I was lucky enough to start my activity with this wonderful and innovative initiative since 2002 and always.

I have participated in February 2010 at the ‘Introduction to Documentary Filmmaking’ Workshop which was instructed by The Documentary Filmmaking Group UK Director and filmmaker, Andy Glynne.  It was certainly a great experience to see, hear, feel and being inspired by such a passionate artist and clinical psychologist as Mr. Glynne.

But 21-year-old filmmaker Hala Dasouqi believes that it is up to her peers to convince producers of their ideas, and not wait for production companies to approach them.
“The problem is not with the producers, it is with our way of presenting ideas… If we knew how to plan correctly, it would work,” she told The Jordan Times at the Film House last week.
“This is a transition phase… we’re on the road to professional filmmaking,” she said.
